A Special Atlantic Coordination Meeting with participation of States providing air navigation services in the North and South Atlantic was held on 23-24 June 2022 in Spain. The main outcomes include the launch of the optimized ICAO working structure in the South Atlantic area, namely the “SAT Safety Oversight and Implementation Management Group”. The Meeting also reviewed the status of follow-up actions from the previous meeting and agreed on further inter-regional harmonization actions to enhance safety, efficiency and environmental sustainability of operations.
