 The Second ICAO Air Cargo Development Forum, 5 - 7 September 2018, Zhengzhou, China

- Convene stakeholders to discuss and address emerging issues in the development of air cargo, identify ways of maximizing the benefits of air cargo to States and other stakeholders, and propose solutions on  identified regulatory and operational challenges to the growth and full liberalization of air cargo and e-commerce.

 

 

 

​​In addition to having our own events, ​ICAO cooperates with key partners to enhance international cooperation on air cargo transport.

Africa E-Commerce Week, 10-14 December 2018, Nairobi, Kenya​

Aligned with ICAO air cargo development efforts, the Africa eCommerce Week will bring together Ministers, other senior government representatives, the private sector, civil society and international organizations for a week of dialogue on how to Empower African Economies in the Digital Era.  It will be jointly organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the African Union and the European Union. The event will be hosted by the Government of Kenya and implemented in collaboration with the eTrade for All initiative—of which ICAO is a partner—the E-commerce Forum Africa and Business for eTrade Development.​

This semi-annual UN/CEFACT Forum is comprised of several workshops on topics including Blockchain, Internet of Things, and electronic messaging that stand to improve vastly air cargo operations.  Transport and logistics experts and implementers, e-commerce stakeholders, and government agencies are among those who will benefit from this activity.  Forum priorities include advancement of current projects and domain activities, formulation and approval of a series of new projects, as well as advancement of UN/CEFACT's current and forthcoming technical framework.
