Expect more information on:
1. Challenge of renewing aerodrome certificates that are expiring soon during this contingency period. In this case, an interim certificate is recommended based on certain conditions, including review of essential documentation as well as satisfactory results of previous on-site inspections.
2. Challenge of the closure of aerodromes due to COVID-19. In this case, we could work through our regional offices to encourage States to involve stakeholders on the decision of closing of aerodromes, especially those needed as alternates that would affect en-route operations, as well as those needed for cargo transportation, including essential supplies.
