SkyNRG

SKYNRG's mission is to make sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) the new global standard. For this purpose, they provide SAF solutions. So far, they have supplied over 30 airlines on all continents. SkyNRG sources, blends and distributes SAF, guarantees sustainability throughout the supply chain and helps to co-fund any price gap over conventional jet fuel.

SkyNRG has supplied SAF that's produced from waste oils with the so-called HEFA-technology but they are not limited to a single feedstock or technology. As long as the SAF meets both the technical specifications as well as their sustainability criteria, they are willing to consider any feedstock-technology combination.

SkyNRG has a focus on the downstream part of the supply chain. They have pioneered the SAF downstream supply chain in many different locations around the world. Since 2018 they have a partnership with Shell Aviation. The company focuses on developing regional SAF supply chains that offer a sustainable, and affordable alternative to fossil fuels. SkyNRG has set out to build a self-sustaining network of regional supply chains, known as 'Direct Supply Lines' (DSLs). A DSL is a supply chain for sustainable aviation fuel that consists of local feedstock, a commercial fuel production plant, and long-term offtake partners.

To make the right decisions regarding the sustainability of their operations, projects, and products, SkyNRG is advised by an independent Sustainability Board, which includes representatives from WWF International, the European Climate Foundation, Solidaridad Network and the University of Groningen. Also, SkyNRG's operations are certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), a certification standard for sustainable fuels.
