Celebrating Civil Aviation’s Past, Present and Future

Visit ICAO – the Museum and Guided Tours

ICAO encourages visitors! Our Museum can be visited without a reservation during its regular opening hours. We also provide group tours of our headquarters. These must be reserved in advance. All visitor services are provided free of charge.

ICAO Museum

The ICAO Museum was opened as part of the celebrations of the 70th Anniversary of the Chicago Convention in 2014. It is intended to inform and inspire interest in all areas of civil aviation and highlight the unique contributions of global air transport to the peace and prosperity of all nations and peoples of the world.

It is open Tuesdays through Fridays, from 12:30 to -16:30. It will be closed on all statutory holidays, and from 24 December to 7 January, inclusive.

All visitors will be required to be processed through building security prior to gaining admittance.

The Museum App

You can take a tour of the ICAO Museum right on your mobile device by downloading the iOS or Android app. It includes voiceover content you can listen to while you visit (via headphones only).

Guided Tours

Tours of ICAO’s diplomatic chambers, gifted artwork, and model aircraft collection are available in English and French by advance reservation, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tours take place on Thursdays at 12.30 pm when the chambers are available. ICAO will consider exceptional requests for tours outside these hours. Tours may be cancelled or amended at any time in light of diplomatic requirements.

The tour typically encompasses the ICAO Assembly Hall, Council Chamber, and Air Navigation Chamber, before concluding at 2 pm.

Tour groups may not exceed 25 participants and must include at least 5 persons over the age of 16.

All participants must undergo security screening (metal detection and X-ray) and present identification issued by an ICAO member State. Participants must remain with the tour group at all times during the visit.
