The
USAP emphasizes the importance of consistent and rigorous auditor selection,
training and certification in order to ensure and maintain the highest
standards of competency in the conduct of audits.
Auditor
training and certification activities are conducted with the objective of
establishing a roster of auditors representing as wide a geographical base as
possible, and in sufficient numbers, to carry out the established schedule of
audits.
With
more than 130 auditors currently on the USAP roster there are no plans for
additional USAP-CMA auditor training courses in 2015. However, beginning in
2016 ICAO intends to conduct regular courses to ensure there are sufficient
certified auditors to meet the needs of the programme. Details of such training
courses will be posted on this website.
