The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) will convene DRONE ENABLE, ICAO's Second Unmanned Aircraft Systems Industry Symposium (DRONE ENABLE/2) from 13 to 14 September 2018 in Chengdu, China. The theme of DRONE ENABLE/2 is UTM to ATM – transitioning from segregation to integration.

The symposium will bring together key stakeholders from industry, academia, government and international organizations in the aviation sector to exchange research, best practices, lessons learned and respective challenges. Attention will be given to the complex issues presented by unmanned aircraft system traffic management (UTM) which need to be addressed collectively in order to integrate UAS into the global aviation system.

DRONE ENABLE/2 speakers will be selected from submissions in response to the attached Request for Information (RFI). Maturity of proposed solutions, potential for global application as well as supporting infrastructure requirements will be factored into the speaker selection process.

The symposium will be an opportunity for networking, collaboration and coordination between civil aviation authorities, industry and both new and existing stakeholders as we move forward in this dynamic field. It also provides a unique opportunity to foster the emergence of a comprehensive and harmonized regulatory framework to support UAS activities.

In addition, an industry exhibition will showcase the breadth of existing technologies, ongoing research and development, as well as commercial and non-commercial activities in this rapidly evolving sector of the aviation industry.

The symposium will be held in English and Chinese.
