| RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE SAP 10 COMPETITION |
| 1. ELIGIBILITY |
| a) Citizenship & Age: This competition is open for all citizens of the member States of ESAF and WACAF Africa within the specified age groups at the end of the competition. |
| b) As part of the submissions, contestants will be required to submit copies of identification documents (passports, national identity card and a high resolution photo as per 3b below) |
| 2. CONTEST PERIOD |
| a) Competition Dates: All submissions must be received on or before the deadline of 22/08/2021. Submissions after the deadline will not be considered. |
| 3. FORMAT OF SUBMISSION |
a) All submissions must be sent to cmazhetese@icao.int
and bferrier@icao.int

| b) All submissions must be in .doc, .pdf, Gif, Png, .jpeg, or .ppt. If the document exceeds 30MB, please provide us with a downlable link. |
| c) All essays must not exceed the 300 word limit. |
| d) No hand in submissions will be accepted. |
| 4. EXEMPTIONS: |
| a) Members of the SAP10 competition committee are exempted. |
| 5. GENERAL GUIDELINES |
| a) By entering the competition, the contestants agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the competition. |
b) All information relating to the competition will be posted on the competition web page:

| c) The Committee will not send individual competition materials to contestants |
| d) Contestants reserves the right to withdraw or amend their submission at any time BEFORE the submission deadline. |
| e) Decision of the competition Committee shall be final. The Committee reserves the right to amend, cancel, suspend or withdraw the competition by giving a 5 day notice to all contestants. |
f) All winners will be notified officially through the email address ESAF Regional Office ICAOESAF@icao.int or Dakar Office ICAOWACAF@icao.int by

| TERMS and CONDITIONS |
| 1. ICAO, its officials and agents shall not be responsible or liable for any claims, demands, losses and liability of any kind or nature arising out of or in connection with contestants' participation in this contest, or their acceptance of its awards. |
| 2. Contestants represent and warrant that their submitted drawing or design is their original work, that it has not been copied, and that it does not violate the rights of any other person. |
| 3. The copyright for any submitted drawing (s) or design (s) shall remain the property of the entrant, but entry in this contest constitutes the entrant's irrevocable, perpetual permission and consent to ICAO and others authorized by ICAO, without further compensation or attribution, to use, distribute, reproduce or otherwise utilize the submitted photo(s) in whole or in part for the duration of the copyright. |
| 4. By entering your drawing or design in the contest, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold and save harmless, ICAO and its officials, agents, employees, consultants, subcontractors and other representatives from and against all suits, proceedings, claims, demands, losses and liability of any kind or nature brought by any third party against ICAO, including, but not limited to, all litigation costs and expenses, attorney's fees, settlement payments and damages, based on, arising from, or relating to ICAO's use of the drawing or design. |
| 5. Nothing in or relating to the contest or its terms and conditions shall be deemed as a waiver, express or implied, of any of the privileges and immunities enjoyed or which may be enjoyed by ICAO, its officers and staff, either pursuant to the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the Specialized Agencies, 1947 or other applicable conventions, agreements, laws or decrees. |
6. The obligations under these Terms and Conditions do not lapse upon closure of the contest, and ICAO reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Terms and Conditions at any time.
