Attendance Fee
There is no Seminar attendance fee. Seminar participants must make their own travel and hotel arrangements and any other living expenses.
Participants are requested to register in advance online or by completing the registration form and sending it by fax or e-mail to the organizer by 1 November 2010.

Participants will be required to reconfirm their registration on site before the Seminar and collect their passes and Seminar materials.
Registration will be available at the Seminar venue as follows:
Tuesday, 23 November 2010 from 15.00–18.00
Wednesday, 24 November 2010 from 08.00–12.00
We encourage all attendees to register as soon as possible after their arrival in Maputo.
Transportation from Maputo International Airport to the hotels (listed under the Accommodations tab) will be provided by the Host State Authority. As well as, daily transportation to and from the Joaquim Chissano Conference Centre.
The Seminar will be carried out in English with simultaneous interpretation into French.
Most nationalities require a Visa for Mozambique, which can be obtained in two ways:
- Prior to arrival, at the nearest embassy of Mozambique, or
- Upon arrival at Maputo airport. Fee: U.S.$ 80.00 (cash or major credit card).
Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required for those arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting countries with infected areas.
Mozambique is a country in southeastern Africa bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east, Tanzania to the north, Malawi and Zambia to the northwest, Zimbabwe to the west and Swaziland and South Africa to the southwest.
Portuguese is the official language of the country.
Weather and Local Time Information
Mozambique has a tropical climate with two seasons, a wet season from October to March and a dry season from April to September. Climatic conditions, however, vary depending on altitude. Rainfall is heavy along the coast and decreases in the north and south.
In the month of November/December, the average temperatures range between 20ºC and 30ºC. During this period warm clothing is not necessary.
Maputo local time is GMT +2. It is fixed across the country.
Local Currency and Foreign Exchanges Rates
The official currency is Mozambican metical (MZN). The current exchange parity is currently set at the rate of U.S.$1 = MZN 34.61, £1 = MZN 51.81 and €1 = MZN 42.41.
American dollars and Euro are accepted in many places. Exchange is easily available in the banks and exchange agencies. Credit cards and traveller’s cheques are accepted in most establishments.
The working week in Mozambique is from Monday to Friday (0800–1700).
Local voltage is 220/240 V 50 Hz (normally two-pin plugs are used).
Telephone and communication services are spread throughout the country with internet and Blackberry widely available. Worldwide direct connections are available using the international code or telephone operator if necessary.
From outside Mozambique dial 258 followed by the number. There are two mobile operators: MCEL and VODACOM.
