Development of environmental guidance material
The outcome and technical tasks resulting from the 39th Session of the Assembly were considered by the first CAEP Steering Group meeting of the CAEP/11 cycle, held in December. This included the update of the Airport Planning Manual, Part 2 (ICAO Doc 9184) and the adoption of a new ICAO Circular on Community Engagement on Aviation Environmental Management.
In addition, ICAO continued to further update the tools and guidance material made available to support States in developing and improving their action plans, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airports Council International (ACI) aimed at driving greener airport operations.
