North Atlantic Safety Oversight Group (NAT SOG) - 8 to 11 December 2020

The Twenty-third meeting of the North Atlantic Safety Oversight Group (NAT SOG/23) was held via teleconference sessions from 8 to 11 December 2020.


Representatives from Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom and United States were in attendance, as well as the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) and NAT CMA.  A number of South Atlantic (SAT) Member States responded to the invitation of NAT SOG and attended NAT SOG/23 meeting as observers. The meeting discussed and reviewed, inter alia, safety performance in the NAT Region, including oceanic interfaces , outcome of analysis of safety-related occurrences in the NAT Region, NAT Annual Safety Report for 2019 and agreed on steps to be reported to the NAT SPG 56-2 in January 2021.



In total 44 participants from 13 States, Industry and three ICAO Regional Offices (EURNAT, ESAF and NACC) attended.
