ICAO Compliance Training Week

About the ICAO Training Week

It is especially important to achieve a harmonized implementation of ICAO SARPs during these times where air transport was greatly impacted by the pandemic, and this achievement is contingent upon the competency of civil aviation managers. To support ICAO member States to achieve this goal, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is organizing the ICAO Compliance Training Week, from 23 to 27 November 2020.

The ICAO Compliance Training Week aims at raising awareness at the necessity for States to maintain their compliance with the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) during this difficult time. The event consists in the simultaneous delivery of the Managing Compliance with ICAO SARPs (MCIS) course in all ICAO official languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian). The course will be preceded by a virtual opening ceremony, followed by a technical panel of experts addressing the subject, with the possibility for course participants to engage in the discussions. A formal certificate delivery ceremony, also in a virtual format, will follow the end of the course.
