Page ContentTRAINAIR PLUS/Training Packages Recognized by ICAO: TRAINAIR PLUS Members are part of a worldwide collaborative network that develop and exchange high-quality standardized aviation training materials for the benefit of all members. Training packages are categorized according to ICAO's authorized areas: Aerodromes, Air Navigation Services, Air Transport, Environment, Flight Safety and Safety Management, Security and Facilitation, Aviation Law and Training Competency Development. The ICAO portfolio of training packages are either developed by ICAO, TRAINAIR PLUS Members or partners. Members of the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme (TPP) obtain expertise and technical support to develop and deliver training packages produced in accordance with the ICAO Training Development Guide, Competency-based Training Methodology (Doc 9941). Training Catalogue 2022 ICAO Recognized training packages ICAO Training Package (ITP): An ITP is a competency-based training course developed by ICAO focusing on the implementation of ICAO SARPs and guidance material, available to be delivered by any TPP Member; ICAO Training Package (M-ITP): An M-ITP is a competency-based training course developed by a TRAINAIR PLUS Members focusing on the implementation of ICAO SARPs and guidance material. These training packages are developed by the Course Development Unit (CDU) of a TPP Member under the supervision of both an ICAO approved Instructional System Design (ISD) validator and ICAO approved Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). M-ITPs are available to be delivered by the network of TPP Members; Standard Training Package (STP): An STP is a competency-based training course developed by a TPP Member focusing on operational practices, using national regulations and procedures, and/or industry requirements. STPs are developed by the CDU of a TPP Member under the supervision of an ICAO approved ISD validator; and Partnership Training Package (PTP): A PTP is a training or educational programme in aviation developed within the framework of a partnership agreement with a Corporate Partner or an industry partner. This package will be established or pursued when it is determined that the training activity fulfils the following criteria:a) complies with ICAO SARPs and policies;b)helps achieve the objectives of ICAO’s aviation training programme;c)complements existing ICAO aviation training activities; andd)represents a significant contribution to the aviation community.
