​Comprehensive New Edition of Annexes

In order to provide all stakeholders with a comprehensive edition of ICAO Annexes, the adopted amendments below will be consolidated in a new edition of the Annex.

Editorial Adjustment for Delayed Applicability

Provisions with delayed applicability dates as a result of recent amendments are identified with an italicized paragraph number and feature the date at the beginning of each provision.

 

5.2.6      Until 4 November 2020, in applying the Standards of this chapter, account shall be taken of all factors that significantly affect the performance of the aeroplane, including but not limited to: the mass of the aeroplane, the operating procedures, the pressure-altitude appropriate to the elevation of the aerodrome, the ambient temperature, the wind, the runway slope, and surface conditions of the runway i.e., presence of snow, slush, water, and/or ice for landplanes, water surface condition for seaplanes. Such factors shall be taken into account directly as operational parameters or indirectly by means of allowances or margins, which may be provided in the scheduling of performance data or in the comprehensive and detailed code of performance in accordance with which the aeroplane is being operated.

Definitions with amendments applicable at a future date are identified by a footnote indicating the date of applicability.

  

Maintenance release. A document which contains a certification confirming that the maintenance work to which it relates has been completed in a satisfactory manner, either in accordance with the approved data and the procedures described in the maintenance organization’s procedures manual or under an equivalent system.
 
Maintenance release. A document which contains a certification confirming that the maintenance work to which it relates has been completed in a satisfactory manner, in accordance with appropriate airworthiness requirements.
