The ICAO Global Aviation Safety Oversight System (GASOS) is a voluntary standardized assessment mechanism for regional safety oversight organizations (RSOOs) and regional accident investigation organizations (RAIOs) that provide aviation safety and accident and incident functions and activities on behalf of ICAO member States. The aim of GASOS is to allow for more efficient and effective use of limited resources and greater harmonization worldwide through a repository of qualified regional organizations that have been recognized by ICAO.
