35% of global trade by value is transported by air and the air cargo industry can be a catalyst for economic development, opening up new markets and creating jobs. ICAO and WCO are working closely together to facilitate air cargo movements while ensuring security.
The Third Joint Conference on Enhancing Air Security and Facilitation – the Path to Effective Implementation examines how security rules can be implemented effectively without impeding the efficiency of the global air cargo network. It will take place at the Sama-Sama hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 26-28 July 2016.
