Secretary General stresses ICAO's commitment to dignity and diversity

With the support of ICAO’s senior management team, Secretariat staff are participating in a UN system wide initiative to eliminate gender, sexual orientation, and ability-related discrimination. Known as “UN for All,” the initiative consists of a training workshop that has now been delivered to over 9,000 people in dozens of countries.

“We must ensure that every single person has dignity and value in ICAO, given their diversity, their differences, or the wide ranging competencies and capabilities they bring to their positions. This is fundamental to our appreciation, respect and upholding of human rights,” declared ICAO Secretary General Dr. Fang Liu at the ICAO workshop’s opening. “This is not an abstract concept, and nor is it only a message for the outside world to appreciate. As UN workers, this is a message we all should live by.”

“UN for All” was launched “to create a truly fair, equitable and respectful United Nations.”
