No Travel Restrictions Related To Novel Coronavirus

MONTRÉAL, 1 October 2012
- The World Health Organization (WHO) is not recommending any travel or trade restrictions as a result of the recent outbreak of novel coronavirus. Though some reports have indicated that this is a SARS-like disease, the WHO confirms that SARS and novel coronavirus are quite distinct and that, to date, only two cases have been confirmed.

WHO, national authorities and partners are investigating how transmission occurs. At the moment, there is no evidence of person to person transmission.
