Aireon is deploying a space-based air traffic surveillance system for Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) equipped aircraft throughout the entire globe. Aireon will harness next-generation aviation surveillance technologies that are currently ground-based and, for the first time ever, extend their reach globally to significantly improve efficiency, enhance safety, reduce emissions and provide cost savings benefits to all stakeholders. Real-time ADS-B surveillance will cover oceanic, polar and remote regions, as well as augment existing ground-based systems that are limited to terrestrial airspace. In partnership with leading ANSPs from around the world, like NAV CANADA, Iridium Communications, ENAV, NATS, the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), and Naviair, Aireon will have an operational, global, space-based air traffic surveillance system in early 2019

Solace is the safe, secure and fast way to share, move and manage SWIM and any other ATM data with many years of proven production use in FAA SWIM and in financial systems worldwide. This provides robust SWIM information sharing that improves efficiency across the ATM value chain, from NOTAM and flight plan distribution to removing friction in A-CDM and ATFM systems. Solace safeguards this data across services, systems, diverse locations, platforms and clouds with a proven digital backbone that scales to, and is proven with, billions of data exchanges per day with the reliability, security and performance necessary for the most challenging use cases across ATM use cases and use cases that span multiple industries. When data is freed, its movements multiply as more ecosystem participants join, just ask the FAA. Data movements grow rapidly when valuable data is freed. Why is Solace used to make data safe for SWIM? Because losing data is not an option & saving money is part of the solution.
