Information for Participants

How Does it Work?

Participating students will address global aviation’s challenges, and through a three day Case Study competition, propose solutions to a panel of industry experts on unmanned aircraft systems, dangerous cargo, the socio-economic benefits of air transport, and aviation security.

 

Students will be required to pre-register and choose from one of the following four simultaneous Workshops to participate in:

 

  • Workshop Stream 1 - Unmanned Aviation System: Aviation for Next Generation – Learn more
  • Workshop Stream 2 - Dangerous Air Cargo – Learn more
  • Workshop Stream 3 - The Socio-Economic Benefits of Air Transport – Learn more
  • Workshop Stream 4 - Aviation Security: Strengthening Aviation Security Systems – Learn more

 

 

 

Case studies prepared by ICAO Technical Officers, will enable students attending the Forum to deliberate and present innovative initiatives that will increase enthusiasm among the younger generation in the varied sectors and operations of an ever-changing field of civil aviation.

 

Winning student groups will be presented with prizes for each workshop stream after the first round of competition. They will then compete against each other in the second round for an award to the most outstanding Case Study Solution overall.

Who Should Attend?

  • This student-focused event is dedicated to college and university students pursuing courses in airport or airline management, aeronautical engineering, aviation law, government, international relations, public policy, economics, and environment, as well as other fields related to civil aviation.

What Is Included?

  • Complimentary tuition fee to attend the Model ICAO Forum. Please note that the event has a limited capacity available of 128 seats;
  • Complimentary meals and social activities organized during the three day event;
  • Local transportation from hotel to event venue will be provided;

 

Important Note: Other expenses, such as travel fees to reach Shenzhen, as well as transportation from/to airport or port of arrival to the hotel, travel insurance, out-of-country medical insurance, and visa related costs, will be the responsibility of the participant.
