This workshop, generously hosted by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, is designed for higher educational institutions offering aviation-related education programmes.
The event aims to foster dialogue, collaboration, exchange of best practices, and to explore collaboration opportunities with ICAO in aviation education and training.
Workshop Objectives:
Attracting and Educating the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals: Explore strategies to attract diverse and talented individuals to aviation careers while designing educational pathways that better prepare them for leadership roles and future industry demands.
Fostering Collaboration and Enhancing the Quality of Aviation Programmes: Share strategies and explore solutions to align academic programmes with global industry standards, ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in aviation careers.
Exploring Global Recognition for Aviation Education: Discuss ideas to enhance global recognition and consistency of aviation-related academic programmes, ensuring they meet the same level of quality and align with industry needs across different regions. This includes exploring frameworks like a global recognition label that would support institutional credibility, employability outcomes, and workforce mobility.
Sharing Insights from Universities: Facilitate discussions and interactive sessions where universities can share their experiences, including best practices, lessons learned, and challenges faced in developing aviation programmes, fostering mutual learning and growth.
Supporting Underserved Regions: Discuss pathways to assist universities in underserved regions to develop aviation programmes that meet international benchmarks and address workforce needs.
