The ICAO European Regional Expert Safety Team (IE-REST) meeting was conducted remotely on 16-18 September 2020. It included the discussions on the safety impact of COVID-19 pandemic. Several actions were identified to address the safety issues.
In addition to the Review of the available safety data and analyses identifying other safety risk areas in IE-REST region, The meeting was presented with updates and discussed, inter alia, Analysis of the safety impact of COVID-19 and discussion on measures to minimize the possible safety risk during the recovery phase of operations.
There were 57 representatives from 14 States, industry and 4 International/Regional Organizations participated in the meeting.
