The Webinar on Implementation of the New Global Reporting Format (GRF) for Runway Surface Conditions in the EUR Region was held in English, French and Russian from 18 to 20 May 2021.
Stakeholders are expected to implement the new Global Reporting Format for runway surface conditions by 4 November 2021. This implementation is expected to reduce the risk of runway excursions since GRF improves the accuracy and timeliness of runway condition assessment and harmonizes this information globally. Furthermore, there is a direct correlation between GRF and aircraft performance.
A total of 504 experts from 35 States, 8 International Organizations (ACAO, ACI Europe, EASA, EUROCONTROL, IAC, IATA, ICAO, and IFALPA) and 7 Airlines registered for the Webinar.
