Another milestone was recently reached by the ICAO EUR/NAT Technical Assistance Programme (TAP) in continued support provided to Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) of Kyrgyzstan in improving its State oversight functions provided under the No Country Left Behind (NCLB) global initiative. ICAO experts conducted a technical assistance mission to Kyrgyzstan (23-25 January 2018) within the framework of the signed ICAO tailored plan of actions and ICAO EUR/NAT Technical Assistance project KGZ 16004 phase 1. During the mission, inspectors of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Kyrgyzstan jointly with ICAO team prepared a plan for implementation of State Safety Program (SSP) and shared expertise in the area of aviation personnel licensing (PEL), air operators certification (OPS) and accident and serious incident investigation (AIG). As an outcome of the mission, further joint steps to improve safety oversight capacities of Kyrgyzstan were agreed. The ICAO EUR/NAT office is committed to support the full implementation of the agreed plan of actions and technical assistance projects for Kyrgyzstan.
