Interregional English Language Proficiency Workshop
(Kuwait, 9-11 November 2015)
To assist States from the Asia-Pacific, European/North-Atlantic and Middle East Regions in implementing the ICAO language provisions, the Interregional English Language Proficiency Workshop will be organized jointly by the ICAO APAC, EUR/NAT and MID Regional Offices in Kuwait from 9 to 11 November 2015. The Workshop will be graciously hosted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Kuwait.
The Workshop will provide an opportunity to:
a) -review the ICAO language provisions and remind stakeholders of their roles in implementing them;
b) -listen to States’ challenges in implementing the LPRs;
c) -review tools, trends and status of ICAO LPRs implementation in the Asia-Pacific, European/North-Atlantic and Middle East Regions; and
d) -disseminate information on implementation tools to expedite compliance with ICAO LPRs.
The Workshop will address subjects of interest to national authorities, to regional and interregional organization’s and aviation language experts involved in licensing, testing and training,
