The main function of Human Resources Management is the continuous enhancement of human resources management policies, rules and procedures of the Organization to support  a results-oriented culture and to meet the changing needs of the Organization through the attraction, retention and motivation of a competent and diverse workforce. ICAO’s HR activities are carried out under the following two sections:

  • Staff relations
  • UN relations and common-system surveys
  • Staff development and performance management
    The Staff Employment and Administration Section covers:
  • Recruitment, job classification and post management
  • Administration of entitlements and allowances
  • Administration of social security and pension benefits
  • Management of the medical centre and staff welfare programmes
