The objective of the symposium and workshops is to provide real, useful guidance with a strong operational focus for the benefits of Member States and air navigation service providers (ANSPs).

The symposium and workshops will provide a learning experience to facilitate implementation of ATFM or CDO/CCO to Member States and ANSPs to overcome and resolve issues that may arise.

Guidance will also be provided on how to measure and document fuel saving and reduced emissions.

​The Advanced ATM Techniques Symposium and Workshops is organized by ICAO in close collaboration with IATA, CANSO and ACI.  These organizations play a key role in delivering training courses related to the Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP) which includes all the Airspace System Block Upgrade Modules endorsed by the aviation community.  This is one of the first steps to streamline the training that will turn the GANP into real operational improvements.
