ICAO language proficiency requirements
The world’s aviation community is invited to a three-day symposium on the ICAO language proficiency requirements that has been convened by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
This symposium is part of a worldwide educational and awareness campaign to introduce the ICAO language proficiency requirements and to provide practical information to facilitate implementation of the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) on the ICAO language proficiency requirements contained in recent amendments to Annexes 1, 6, 10 and 11 that became applicable on 27 November 2003.
More information on the ICAO language proficiency requirements can be found on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page on Personnel Licensing.
The symposium is aimed at managers from government, airlines and air traffic control services who will be in charge of the implementation of the new requirements and for members of the training industry who are interested in providing language testing and training services to civil aviation. It will feature prominent speakers from industry, government and academia.
