Byogy and Avianca Brasil Announce Collaboration to Accelerate ATJ Certification

Byogy announces a collaboration with Aviance Brasil for the certification of the alcohol-to-jet biofuel pathway.

An Avianca's Airbus A319, powered by CFMI  CFM56 engines, will be used with Byogy for advanced testing and data acquisition which will support the ATJ specification adoption process which is well under way with the global ASTM governing organization.

The collaboration will also aim to validate the environmental benefit of the fuel produced from sugar cane feedstock in Brazil.

Byogy, a Californian company, is developing a catalytic platform to produce 100% replacement drop-in jet fuel from any source of ethanol or butanol.
