To mark the launch of the biography of Dr. Assad Kotaite, President Emeritus of the ICAO Council, book- signing sessions will be held on 25 September and 26 September at ICAO Headquarters in Montreal. Titled: “My Memoirs - 50 Years of International Diplomacy and Conciliation in Aviation”, the book offers a personal insight into some of the major developments in global air transport over the past five decades and the role of ICAO as the specialized agency of the United Nations in ensuring the safe and orderly growth of international civil aviation.
In his Memoirs, Dr. Kotaite also reflects on his involvement in helping to resolve differences between Member States through dialogue and cooperation. During a career that spans the evolution of modern-day air transport, Dr. Kotaite gained a well-earned reputation as a master consensus builder, steering global aviation through an ever-increasingly complex, competitive and politically challenging environment.
The book will be on sale at the book-signing ceremony on 25 and 26 September, through the ICAO website, in the on the ICAO Commissariat and the Staff Association boutique. The price for the hard-cover edition is $37.95 and $23,95 for the soft-cover edition.
