​MONTRÉAL, 28 September 2012 (Xinhua) – As part of his tour of the States presently being considered as host nations for the planned ICAO Asia-Pacific (APAC) Sub-regional Office, ICAO Secretary General Raymond Benjamin met recently with Chinese State Councillor Ma Kai.

 

During the meeting, Ma said China hopes to boost exchanges and cooperation with the ICAO and play a more active role in promoting aviation safety in northeast Asia.

 

“ICAO attaches significant importance to its cooperation with China and is happy to it playing a bigger role in promoting aviation in the region,” noted Benjamin.
