Almaty (Kazakhstan) 14 to 16 April 2014:
28 participants from 6 different States (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova) attended the second AVSEC seminar for Eastern European/ Central Asian States which was hosted by the Aviation Security Training Centre (ASTC) Almaty and conducted by the Regional Officer Aviation Security and Facilitation.

Topics were chosen to follow up on the 38 th ICAO assembly (September/October 2013) and the recent AVSEC panel. Furthermore practical guidance was provided to support States in implementing new requirements specifically in the fields of cargo security and risk management methodology.
States underlined their request and support for this seminar to become a regular event contributing to a better cooperation amongst States, improved understanding of ICAO AVSEC developments and decisions as well as facilitating the implementation action expected from States. The ASTC Almaty offered already to host a new similar event in 2015.
