Almaty (Kazakhstan), 26-30 August 2013
The Kazakhstan civil aviation authorities and air navigation service provider have hosted 3 PBN related events on 26-30 August 2013 in Almaty. The list of events included workshops on PBN flight procedure design, use of PBN in airspace design and an ICAO PBN Go-Team project to assist Kazakhstan in advancing the implementation of PBN.
In total, about 70 participants from 11 States attended the workshops. The PBN Go Team has produced a report containing actions for implementation by Kazakhstan to advance PBN. PBN is an ICAO priority as part of the Global Air Navigation Plan to maximize the benefits of advanced aircraft technologies to enhance safety, efficiency, reduce environmental impact of aviation operations and improve accessibility.
